IMPORTANT LOCATION REQUIREMENT

This vacancy is specifically for candidates who are currently residing or working in Chennai and are willing to relocate to Shirwal/Khandala near Pune, Maharashtra.

Selected candidates will be employed by Nikis Utility Services Pvt. Ltd. and deployed at the manufacturing facility of our client, ILJIN Global India Pvt. Ltd.

Company-provided accommodation, canteen and transportation facilities will be available.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in the maintenance of CNC, VMC, PLC-controlled and other machine-shop equipment used in an automobile, auto-component or engineering manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC, SPM and other manufacturing machines.

- Maintain machinery used in turning, grinding, drilling, heat-treatment and assembly processes.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic and PLC-related machine problems and implement appropriate countermeasures.

- Handle utility maintenance, including DG sets, compressors, RO plants and STP plants.

- Carry out root-cause and problem analysis using Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis and other analytical methods.





- Monitor and calculate maintenance performance indicators such as MTTR and MTBF.

- Reduce machine downtime and ensure timely restoration of equipment during breakdowns.

- Maintain preventive-maintenance schedules, equipment records and breakdown reports.

- Coordinate with production, electrical maintenance and other plant departments for smooth machine operations.

- Follow all applicable plant safety, quality and maintenance procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or

- BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

- Minimum 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.

- Hands-on experience in CNC and VMC machine maintenance.

- Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and basic PLC troubleshooting.

- Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

- Experience with machine-shop equipment and manufacturing processes.

- Knowledge of DG sets, compressors, RO plants and STP plants.

- Understanding of MTTR, MTBF and root-cause analysis techniques.

- Valuable problem-solving and communication skills.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Candidates from automobile, auto-component, bearing, precision-engineering or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.

- Candidates must currently be based in Chennai.

- Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Shirwal/Khandala area near Pune.

- Candidates should be comfortable working at the client’s manufacturing facility while being employed by Nikis Utility Services Pvt. Ltd.
