Role Description The Fleet Control Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for monitoring and coordinating daily fleet operations, including vehicle dispatch, route planning, and driver scheduling to ensure timely and effective service.

Officer tracks fleet performance, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules, and prepares regular reports for management. The role also involves ensuring compliance with internal controls, safety standards, and relevant regulations, as well as collaborating with finance and operations teams on cost control and budgeting related to fleet activities.

Officer communicates with drivers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement in fleet management processes.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and support decision-making in fleet management.
- Knowledge of finance and cost control principles related to budgeting, expense tracking, and optimizing fleet operating costs.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with drivers, vendors, and internal teams, and preparing transparent reports and documentation.
- Understanding of internal controls and auditing practices to ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transportation management is preferred.
- Proficiency with fleet management software, spreadsheets, and basic data reporting tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work accurately under time constraints, and respond promptly to operational issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in fleet or operations management.
