Job Title: Fire Fighting Technician

Location: KR Mangalam University

Experience: Minimum 5Years

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Fire Fighting Technician with robust expertise in Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and Sprinkler Systems to support and maintain all fire safety aspects of KR Mangalam university.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot firefighting systems across the University campus.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hose reels, fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure all fire safety systems remain operational and compliant with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external vendors for servicing, repairs, and annual maintenance of fire safety equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports,



and compliance documentation.
- Support emergency response activities and ensure adherence to fire safety regulations and University policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of firefighting systems in commercial, institutional, or industrial facilities.
- Sound knowledge of fire protection systems, fire alarm panels, pumps, hydrants, and applicable fire safety standards.
- Good troubleshooting, documentation, and teamwork skills.
