Job Title: Solar Technician

Role & responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, and maintain the University's rooftop solar PV systems.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of solar panels, inverters, LT panels, wiring, and related electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot faults to ensure maximum system efficiency and minimum downtime.
- Monitor daily power generation and maintain maintenance and performance records.
- Coordinate with vendors for servicing, repairs, and warranty-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and University policies.
- Support the Electrical Maintenance Team in the smooth operation of campus power systems.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV system installation and maintenance.
- Sound knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, electrical distribution, and safety practices
- Positive troubleshooting, reporting, and teamwork skills.
