About the Role

We are seeking an Esports Analyst (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on esports, competitive gaming, match analysis, game strategy, player performance, gaming content, and AI-generated esports content evaluation.

In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated esports analyses, match reports, gameplay summaries, player scouting reports, tournament coverage, strategy guides, and gaming-related content. Your expertise will help improve AI systems designed for esports analytics, gaming media, competitive intelligence, fan engagement, and AI-powered gaming applications.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in esports analytics, coaching, competitive gaming, broadcasting, journalism, game statistics, or esports operations.

Responsibilities

- Review AI-generated match recaps, tournament previews, scouting reports, statistical analyses, coaching insights, and gameplay summaries.
- Verify AI-generated interpretations of player statistics, team performance, drafting strategies, map control, objective management, economy management, and tactical decision-making.
- Assess AI-generated content for strategic accuracy, current meta relevance, and competitive integrity.
- Identify factual inaccuracies, outdated information,



incorrect game terminology, statistical errors, unsupported conclusions, and analytical weaknesses.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in esports analytics, gaming content generation, and competitive strategy evaluation.
- Review peer-developed deliverables to maintain quality and consistency standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Esports, Sports Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Journalism, Media, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in esports analysis, competitive gaming, coaching, broadcasting, journalism, tournament operations, or gaming analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Analyzing professional esports matches and tournaments.
- Evaluating player performance, team strategies, and gameplay trends.
- Creating analytical reports, previews, reviews, or strategic breakdowns.
- Reviewing AI-generated esports content for factual and strategic accuracy.
- Working with game statistics, performance metrics, and esports databases.
- Familiarity with esports analytics platforms, tournament statistics, replay analysis tools, Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Liquipedia, and game-specific APIs is preferred.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and written English skills.




- Strong attention to detail and ability to make evidence-based gaming evaluations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with skilled esports organizations, tournament organizers, gaming publishers, media companies, analytics firms, or coaching teams.
- Expertise in one or more esports titles such as League of Legends, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, or Mobile Legends.
- Experience evaluating AI-generated esports reports, gameplay summaries, strategy guides, gaming datasets, or player scouting reports.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, prompt engineering, RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback), AI benchmarking, gaming AI, or content evaluation is an advantage.
- Experience as a professional player, coach, analyst, caster, tournament official, or esports journalist is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of data visualization, SQL, Python, or statistical analysis tools for esports analytics is a plus.
