About the Role

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst to cover one or more of the following sectors: Pharma, Chemicals, Metals, Cement, New Age Businesses, Information Technology (IT), and FMCG. The ideal candidate should possess robust analytical skills, sound knowledge of financial markets, and experience in fundamental equity research with the ability to generate actionable investment ideas.

Key Responsibilities

- Cover one or more assigned sectors, including Pharma, Chemicals, Metals, Cement, New Age Businesses, IT, or FMCG.
- Conduct detailed fundamental research on listed companies, including financial analysis, industry research, and valuation.
- Build and maintain financial models and valuation models.
- Prepare earnings updates, company reports, sector reports, and investment notes.
- Track industry developments, company announcements, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends affecting assigned sectors.
- Attend earnings calls, management meetings, conferences, and channel checks to gather insights.




- Generate investment recommendations supported by comprehensive research and analysis.
- Work closely with the senior research team and institutional sales team to provide timely market insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 37 years of experience in Equity Research covering one or more of the following sectors:

- Pharma

- Chemicals

- Metals

- Cement

- New Age Businesses

- Information Technology (IT)

- FMCG
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation techniques, and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of capital markets and equity research methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple research assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in institutional equity research with a brokerage, investment bank, or research firm.
- Familiarity with financial databases and research tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Reuters, or similar platforms.
