Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Manager to lead the planning, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and lifecycle management of construction equipment, vehicles, and plant machinery across multiple project sites. The role is responsible for maximizing equipment availability, ensuring preventive maintenance, controlling operating costs, monitoring fuel efficiency, and maintaining statutory compliance to support uninterrupted project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deploy equipment based on project requirements and execution schedules.
- Optimize fleet utilization and coordinate equipment mobilization between project sites.
- Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
- Track equipment performance, productivity, fuel consumption, and utilization through MIS and GPS monitoring.
- Manage equipment hiring, vendor coordination, and evaluate hiring versus ownership costs.
- Prepare equipment budgets and control maintenance, fuel, and operating expenses.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including RC, Insurance, Fitness, Pollution Certificates, Permits, Taxes, and Operator Licenses.
- Prepare and review equipment reports, utilization dashboards,



downtime analysis, maintenance costs, and fleet performance MIS.
- Lead the Equipment team, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Finance, Stores, Safety, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely equipment availability.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
- 1015 years of experience in Equipment/Plant & Machinery Management in construction, infrastructure, EPC, mining, roads, railways, airports, or industrial projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading multi-site equipment operations.
- Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment, preventive maintenance, fleet management, fuel analysis, equipment hiring, budgeting, GPS tracking, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent leadership, planning, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
