Role: EPCRA & Chemical Inventory Specialist Location: Noida / Bangalore /Pune Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified who can support US-based lubricant manufacturing plants and oil & gas facilities on EPCRA regulatory reporting (Tier II and TRI) and end-to-end chemical inventory management. The role requires solid domain understanding of oil & gas downstream operations (especially lubricants blending/manufacturing) combined with practical expertise in hazardous chemical inventory processes that underpin accurate EPCRA compliance.

This is a high-impact role supporting client delivery in sustainability, ESG, and regulatory compliance for US clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead / support annual EPCRA Tier II (Sections 311/312) and TRI (Section 313) reporting for US lubricant plants and related oil & gas facilities.
- Perform complete chemical inventory management:

Compile, reconcile, and maintain facility chemical inventories.

Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazard classification, composition, and reportable quantities.

Apply mixture rules, exemptions, and threshold calculations (TPQs and reporting thresholds).

Determine maximum and average daily amounts, storage locations, and container types.

Conduct applicability analysis for EPCRA reporting and document decisions.

Prepare high-quality Tier II and TRI submissions (including state-specific portals and formats).

Map chemical storage locations and support facility site maps required for Tier II.

Collaborate with site teams, EHS managers, and data owners to ensure data accuracy and audit readiness.

Identify gaps in chemical inventory processes and recommend process or system improvements. Must-Have Domain Knowledge & Skills

Chemical Inventory

Management

- Hands-on experience building and maintaining accurate hazardous chemical inventories.




- Strong ability to interpret SDS / MSDS (composition, physical & health hazards, CAS numbers).
- Practical knowledge of threshold determination, mixture rules, and exemptions under US regulations.
- Experience with inventory data quality, reconciliation, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
- EPCRA Regulatory Reporting (US)
- Working knowledge of EPCRA Sections 311, 312 (Tier II) and 313 (TRI).
- Understanding of reporting thresholds, Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHS), and state variations.
- Familiarity with reporting portals (EPA Tier2 Submit, E-Plan, TRI-MEweb / CDX, and common state systems).
- Experience preparing complete, audit-ready reports with supporting calculations and justifications.
- Oil & Gas Domain Understanding
- Solid understanding of oil & gas downstream operations, particularly lubricant manufacturing / blending plants.
- Familiarity with typical chemicals used in lubricants (base oils, additives, solvents, etc.) and their regulatory implications.
- Experience supporting or working with US oil & gas, refining, or chemical manufacturing facilities is highly preferred.
- Awareness of how chemical inventory and EPCRA fit into broader plant EHS and sustainability programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to other US chemical regulations (RCRA, OSHA HazCom, CAA, etc.).
- Experience with digital tools / EHS platforms for chemical inventory or regulatory reporting.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
