We're Hiring: Part-Time English Language Learners Instructor – Western Piedmont Community College

Do you love helping adults build confidence in English? WPCC is looking for a part time ELL instructor to teach English Language Learners right in our community — including classes at a local elementary school and a local church.

? Schedule: Mondays & Tuesdays, 2-hour sessions

- Morning session: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Evening session: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

? Location: Community-based (elementary school & church sites in the Morganton area)

What you'll do:

- Teach beginning through advanced ESL to adult multilingual learners
- Build lessons around listening, speaking, reading, writing, and everyday communication skills
- Help students prepare for jobs, further education, and life in their community
- Create a welcoming, culturally responsive classroom

What we're looking for:





- Strong oral and written communication skills
- One of the following: NCCCS ESOL Credential, TESOL Certification, a Bachelor's/Master's in TESOL, ESL, Applied Linguistics, English (ESL emphasis), or Education (ESL concentration) — or the ability to obtain a recognized ESL credential within 6 months

Nice to have:

- Experience teaching adult English learners
- Familiarity with CASAS assessments
- A background in workforce ESL or cross-cultural communication
