Job Title: Engineering Manager Merchandising Technology

Location: Bengaluru, India

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our merchandising technology initiatives for;

the convenience retail sector. This role will drive the technical vision, development, and deployment of;





innovative solutions that optimize product assortment, pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies;enhancing both operational efficiency and customer experience in convenience retail environments.

Responsibilities: ;

Technical Leadership: Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for merchandising;

technology platforms within convenience retail.

Product Development: Led cross-functional engineering teams in architecting, developing, and;

deploying scalable, reliable systems for merchandising, inventory, pricing, and promotions leveraging enterprise architecture principles and reusable component design.

Integration Ecosystem: Ensure seamless integration of merchandising technology with retail store;

systems, supply chain, accounting, analytics, and customer engagement systems.

Team Management: Attract, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams, fostering a;

culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Quality Security: Establish and enforce engineering best practices, ensuring robust, secure, and;

high-performance solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product management, design, operations, and business;

teams to align technology initiatives with company objectives and customer needs.

Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to;

deployment and ongoing support.

Performance Measurement: Define and monitor key engineering metrics and KPIs to ensure;

operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Vendor Partner Management: Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to;

deliver integrated solutions.

Key Skills Required:;

Merchandising Technology: Deep understanding of product assortment, pricing, inventory, and;





promotional management systems in retail or convenience environments.

Technical Expertise: Solid background in software architecture, cloud platforms, data analytics,;

and retail technology.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address complex business;

and technical challenges.

Innovation Mindset: Passion for leveraging technology to drive business impact and customer value.

Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering teams.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams and senior leadership.

Agile DevOps: Proficiency in agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Education Experience:;

13+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership or management;

roles.;

8+ years of experience in Java, Springboot and similar Technologies. ;

Willing to work on the Nodejs and other technologies.;

Experienced in CI/CD, Cloud (Azure , AWS), Database- Postgress/ Mangodb or any similar.;

Demonstrated success in building and deploying merchandising or retail technology solutions. ;

Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments. ;

Strong business acumen and understanding of convenience retail business models and operations. ;

Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.;
