Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with over 15 years of software development experience, including a strong background in Java-based enterprise application development. The ideal candidate has successfully transitioned from a hands-on technical role into engineering leadership and has experience building, mentoring, and leading high-performing engineering teams.

This role requires a balance of technical expertise, people management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage one or more software engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Hire, mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical leads.
- Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and execution plans.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and performance.
- Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and succession planning.
- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.




- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and improve engineering productivity through metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and resource planning across multiple projects.
- Promote DevOps culture, CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and cloud-native development practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in engineering management.
- Strong background in Java application development and enterprise software architecture.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams of 15-50+ members.
- Experience managing multiple Agile teams and delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with hiring, performance management, and employee development.
- Ability to balance technical leadership with business priorities.
