Company Description Indosol Solar Private Limited is the solar PV manufacturing arm of Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL), one of India’s fastest-growing and trusted power equipment manufacturers. Building on SSEL’s long-standing expertise in transformers, EPC services, electrification, substation construction, and grid infrastructure, Indosol focuses on advanced solar technologies. The company operates a 500 MW module manufacturing facility in Ramayapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with plans to rapidly scale toward a 10 GW integrated solar PV manufacturing capacity by 2027.
Recognized under India’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, Indosol is committed to strengthening domestic solar manufacturing and reducing reliance on imports. Role Description The Engineer Environment role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kavali. The role involves monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations across manufacturing operations, including air, water, and waste management. The engineer will conduct environmental impact assessments, support permitting processes, and maintain documentation and reporting for regulatory authorities.
Day-to-day activities include overseeing wastewater treatment systems, coordinating waste segregation and disposal practices,
and identifying opportunities to improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental risks. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, engagement with external consultants and regulators as needed, and implementation of environmental management systems aligned with company sustainability goals.
Qualifications Strong knowledge of environmental compliance, including applicable national and state regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
Experience in wastewater treatment operations, system monitoring, and optimization of treatment processes.
Proficiency in environmental impact assessment methodologies and preparation of related reports and documentation.
Background in environmental consulting or advisory work, including interaction with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with industrial waste management, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Ability to interpret technical data, use environmental monitoring instruments, and prepare clear technical reports.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in office in a manufacturing environment and coordinate with operations, safety, and quality teams.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems;
experience in renewable energy or heavy manufacturing is an advantage.
