About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join Qualcomm’s dynamic Camera Systems team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power next-generation mobile devices.

Your primary responsibility will involve researching, designing, developing, simulating, and validating systems-level software, hardware, architecture, and algorithms. You will work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and customer support, to ensure that our imaging solutions meet and exceed system requirements and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, including ISP (Image Signal Processor) simulation, software prototyping, and optimization of multimedia algorithms, contributing directly to the enhancement of mobile imaging capabilities and overall user experience.

Qualifications Candidates should possess a strong educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, with relevant industry experience.



A Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, a Master’s degree with 2+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year are acceptable.

Demonstrable experience in ISP simulation, software prototyping, and multimedia technologies is essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of image and signal processing, video technologies, and embedded systems, particularly within Android and Linux environments. Proficiency in C/C++ programming, debugging skills, and familiarity with version control tools are required.

Additionally, experience working with hardware modules, optimizing algorithms for power and performance, and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams will be highly valued.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of camera design, imaging pipelines, ISP architectures, and scripting skills in Python or Perl for automation.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for creating end-to-end software prototypes for ISP modules, including post-processing components. They will optimize multimedia algorithms and implement fixes to handle complex imaging scenarios.

The role requires quickly learning new hardware modules, developing software interfaces, and integrating hardware with software solutions. Candidates will suggest architectural improvements for hardware modules to enhance image quality, power efficiency, and performance. Collaboration with software and customer teams to troubleshoot and debug issues is critical,



along with maintaining clear documentation and adhering to project timelines.

The role also involves working with cross-functional teams to incorporate new hardware features, contribute to system architecture reviews, and ensure the robustness of imaging solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability to recent technologies, excellent debugging skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, global environment.
