About the role

SNRAS Systems develops IoT-, sensing-, and automation-driven technology for aquaculture and aquatic logistics across a growing portfolio of R&D; products (for example, Bluesense, Blueboat, and Blueeye). We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to design and build the embedded electronics and instrumentation that power these products — from sensor signal chains and microcontroller-based control units through to power, connectivity, and field-ready hardware that survives demanding outdoor, marine, and mobile environments.

This is a hands-on, multi-project role. You will move between early-stage prototypes and field-deployed systems, working closely with our software/AI, mechanical, and domain teams, and you should be comfortable switching context across several R&D; efforts at once.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded electronics across multiple R&D; products, including microcontroller-based control units, sensor interface boards, actuator drivers, and system wiring.

Integrate and calibrate sensors across domains — water quality, environmental, motion/IMU, optical, and others — including signal conditioning, ADC, and noise rejection.

Develop and maintain firmware (embedded C/C++) for real-time data acquisition, automatic calibration, outlier filtering, actuator control, and safety interlocks.

Implement connectivity and telemetry over cellular (GSM/LTE), Wi-Fi, BLE, or LoRa, with reliable store-and-forward for offline operation, an edge-to-cloud data pipeline (e.g., MQTT), and OTA firmware updates.

Design and validate power electronics and power management: battery / UPS systems, charging, generator or solar interfacing, auto-changeover,

and load management for uninterrupted operation.

Engineer hardware for harsh deployment conditions: vibration and shock, humidity and water ingress (IP-rated enclosures), thermal management, and EMI/EMC robustness.

Own PCB schematic capture and layout, component selection and BOM, prototype bring-up, and debugging.

Support edge-AI, sensor-fusion, and predictive-maintenance features by ensuring high-quality, well-characterised sensor data and instrumentation.

Build rapid prototypes to validate new R&D; concepts, and help mature the promising ones into reliable products.

Support field trials, installation, and on-site troubleshooting; lead root-cause analysis of failures.

Produce and maintain clean documentation: schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, calibration records, and as-built configurations.

Required qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).

3–6 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems / IoT hardware development.

Proficiency in embedded C/C++ on ARM Cortex-M class microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32, NXP); familiarity with an RTOS.

Strong sensor-interfacing skills: I²C, SPI, UART, analog signal conditioning, and ADC fundamentals.

PCB design experience with a standard EDA tool (Altium, KiCad, or Eagle), including layout and bring-up.

Working knowledge of wireless connectivity (cellular, Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa) and IoT messaging protocols.

Fundamentals of power electronics and battery management.

Comfortable with lab instruments — oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyser — and with soldering and rework. Perks & CTC:

CTC: 3.5-5.5 LPA & other perks which specific department provide depending upon funtions The budget may be topped with 10% for candidates over par. Preferred / nice-to-have

Experience with IoT sensing, instrumentation, or environmental monitoring systems.

Exposure to marine, robotics, autonomous-platform, or machine-vision hardware.

Edge AI / TinyML, sensor fusion, or data-driven calibration techniques.

Rugged, automotive, or outdoor electronics; EMC compliance and IP-rated enclosure design.

Cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT) and OTA update mechanisms.

Python for test automation and data analysis.

What success looks like

Reliable, field-proven electronics and sensor stacks that run unattended through real deployments, including loss of connectivity and power transitions.

Sensor data trustworthy enough to drive automation, analytics, and predictive features.

Quick, dependable turnaround from R&D; concept to working prototype, and from prototype to robust product.

How to apply

Send your CV and a short note on a relevant embedded/IoT, instrumentation, or hardware project to [[email protected]]. Portfolios, GitHub, or hardware project write-ups are welcome.
