Electronics Hardware Engineer
Location: Visakhapatnam, India Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our engineering team in developing next-generation AI-powered medical devices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting electronic hardware. You will work closely with software, and regulatory teams to bring innovative products from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design analog and digital electronic circuits for medical devices.
Develop schematics and PCB layouts
Select electronic components based on performance, availability, cost, and regulatory requirements.
Design power management circuits, battery systems, charging circuits, and protection mechanisms.
Integrate sensors, displays, communication modules, and embedded processors.
Develop interfaces including USB, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
Support prototype assembly, debugging, validation, and product verification.
Perform board bring-up, signal integrity analysis, and hardware troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
Collaborate with firmware engineers during embedded system development.
Support EMC/EMI testing and electrical safety compliance.
Prepare manufacturing documentation including BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, test procedures, and engineering change orders.
Work with manufacturing partners to resolve production issues and improve product reliability.
Assist with product certifications and regulatory submissions including IEC 60601 and related standards.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure analysis.
Handle inventory management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in electronics hardware development.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
Experience with PCB design tools.
Experience with microcontrollers and embedded hardware platforms.
Knowledge of communication interfaces including USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and Bluetooth.
Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing medical devices or regulated products.
Familiarity with IEC 60601, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, and ISO 13485 environments.
Experience with thermal imaging cameras, imaging sensors, wearable devices, or biomedical instrumentation.
Knowledge of battery-powered systems and low-power electronics.
Experience with ARM-based embedded systems.
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT).
Familiarity with FDA,CE and CDSCO regulatory requirements.
