Role Objective:

To maintain, improve reliability and optimize the electrical systems of our yeast manufacturing plant.

Education:

BE or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

At least 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance in process industries.

Technical Expertise:

Candidates must have experience in the following areas:

1. Power Distribution Systems: HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, panels, cables, earthing, and electrical protection systems.
2. Electrical Equipment: Industrial motors, starters, VFDs, DG sets, UPS systems, and associated electrical equipment.
3. Maintenance and Reliability: Preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting, shutdown planning, root-cause analysis, and reduction of electrical downtime.
4. Energy Efficiency: Energy monitoring, motor-loading analysis, power-factor improvement, demand management, power-quality improvement, and reduction of electrical losses.

Required Skills:

1. Theoretical Knowledge: Robust understanding of electrical machines, power systems, protection, cable sizing, earthing, power factor, and power quality.
2. Electrical Drawings: Ability to read,



prepare and review single-line diagrams, panel drawings, control circuits, and cable schedules.
3. Instrumentation Awareness: Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation, interlocks, PLC interfaces, and control signals for effective coordination with the instrumentation and automation team.
4. Safety and Compliance: Knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, permit-to-work procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
5. Team Management: Ability to supervise electricians, contractors, vendors, maintenance activities, and critical electrical spares.
6. Liaison with Authorities: Ability to coordinate with the DISCOM/electricity distribution authority and other statutory authorities for inspections, approvals, load enhancement, metering changes, connection modifications, supply-related issues, and other electrical matters.
7. Digital Literacy: Basic knowledge of computers, including professional email communication, Microsoft Excel and ability to learn and use new software where required.
8. Communication: Must be proficient in both English and Hindi.
