We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Clancy Global Building Consultancy to develop and design electrical systems, components, and products for a wide range of applications. You will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop electrical systems for building services, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, emergency systems, and low-current systems.

· Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents.

· Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams, circuiting, panel schedules, and equipment sizing.

· Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Altium, or similar).

· Perform load calculations, component selection, and safety analyses.

· Ensure designs meet regulatory, industry, and client specifications (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL, IEEE standards).

· Support prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical systems.

· Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to integrate electrical design with overall product architecture.

· Prepare technical documentation including design reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and user manuals.

· Troubleshoot design issues and recommend solutions or improvements.





· Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source electrical components and ensure compatibility with design.

· Assist in cost estimation, risk assessments, and project planning.

Relevant Educational Background: A degree or certification in electrical engineering, electrical drafting, or a related field is beneficial.

Previous Experience: Look for candidates with a proven track record in drafting electrical plans for projects similar to yours (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).

Industry Certifications: Certifications in electrical drafting or engineering software (e.g., Autodesk Certified Qualified) can be a bonus.

Role Description This is a full-time,



on-site Electrical Design Engineer role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The Electrical Design

Engineer will develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for building services and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Daily activities include preparing calculations and technical documentation, selecting equipment, designing power distribution systems, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams. The role involves reviewing designs for constructability, supporting site teams during installation and commissioning, and participating in design meetings with clients and stakeholders.

The Electrical Design

Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, support the integration of new technologies, and assist in mentoring team members where appropriate.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering.

Candidates should possess skills in Design Engineering focused on building services and infrastructure projects.

Candidates should possess solid understanding of Electricity fundamentals and safety standards.

Candidates should possess experience in Power Distribution systems design and analysis.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Experience with relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, electrical calculation software).

Knowledge of applicable international and local electrical codes, standards, and best practices.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work on-site with project and construction teams.
