Role Description The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaisalmer, responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role coordinates front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams, monitoring service standards and addressing guest queries or concerns promptly and professionally.

The Duty

Manager supervises staff scheduling, manages shift handovers, and supports training to maintain consistent service quality. The role also involves monitoring occupancy and revenue-related activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.

Manager collaborates closely with senior management to implement operational improvements and assist in handling emergencies or escalated issues.

Qualifications

- Strong hotel operations and front office management skills, with experience overseeing daily shift activities and coordinating multiple departments.
- Competence in guest relations, conflict resolution, and service recovery, with the ability to handle escalations calmly and professionally.
- Solid leadership and team management capabilities, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance support.
- Positive organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation, reporting, and compliance with procedures.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems and basic use of hospitality technology platforms for reservations, check-in/check-out, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in a luxury or boutique hotel is strongly preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
