Role Description The Dotnet Developer – AI-Assisted Development will work full time on-site in the Pune Division, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable .NET applications that support The Movement's mission-driven platforms. This role is built for developers who use AI tools as a core part of their daily workflow — not occasionally, but as the primary way they write, review, and ship code.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing recent features, optimizing existing code, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver secure, high-performing solutions. The developer will write clean, testable code using best practices, participate in code reviews, and help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application stack. The role also involves integrating third-party services, improving system reliability, and contributing to technical documentation.





Qualifications

- AI-First Development (Required): Must have hands-on, day-to-day experience using AI coding tools — including Claude (Anthropic), GitHub Copilot, or equivalent — as a primary development accelerator, not just a supplementary tool. Candidates should be comfortable prompting, iterating, and validating AI-generated code at speed.
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code — with or without AI assistance.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development using the .NET ecosystem, including modern development workflows and practices.
- Proficiency in .NET Core for building scalable, high-performance applications and services.
- Practical experience with ASP.NET MVC for developing secure, responsive web applications.
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and basic data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and team-oriented development practices.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate within cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), RESTful APIs, and basic security best practices is a plus.
- Interest in or alignment with The Movement's mission around social impact, sustainability, and economic empowerment.
- Bonus: Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into .NET applications, or building AI-augmented features within existing products.
