Digital Accessibility Specialist (Part time | Remote)

Engagement Type: Part-Time Consulting

Required Qualifications:

- Strong experience with WCAG 2.1 AA , ADA Title II , Section 508 , and PDF/UA
- Expertise remediating Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and tagged PDF documents
- Hands-on experience making training videos accessible , including:
- Human-verified captions
- Accurate transcripts
- Audio descriptions (standard and extended)
- Media player accessibility validation
- Keyboard accessibility and screen reader testing
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro Accessibility tools and PAC
- Experience using screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and/or VoiceOver
- Experience preparing VPATs / Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Remediate Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and tagged PDFs
- Create meaningful alt text and long descriptions for instructional content
- Produce accessible training videos with captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions
- Perform manual keyboard and screen reader accessibility testing
- Prepare and sign accessibility conformance documentation
