As the Director, Product – New Ventures , you will own the organization's next growth engine by building and scaling products and business lines beyond the core installation business. The role focuses on acquiring and serving customers across the broader home-energy market, monitoring asset performance at scale, and delivering reliable, lifecycle-based servicing solutions.

You will lead and build a product organization spanning three strategic areas: customer acquisition and monetization , asset monitoring and generation-quality telemetry , and AMC/field service operations . This role demands hands-on product leadership, strong problem-solving capabilities, a proven track record of building product teams from the ground up, and the ability to establish trusted partnerships with engineering, business, and operations leaders.

Scope of Responsibility

- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the organization's next growth engine, extending beyond one-time installation to acquire, monitor, and service customers across the broader residential home-energy market.
- Drive the organization's Maintenance-as-a-Service (MaaS) offering from an early-stage business into a scalable, repeatable product with a validated go-to-market strategy and sustainable monetization model.
- Own the product vision for asset-health monitoring, generation-quality telemetry, and performance insights , transforming raw operational data into actionable intelligence for customers and internal teams.
- Lead the end-to-end product experience for AMC operations and field servicing , including visit scheduling, technician routing, customer coordination, service workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Build and scale a high-performing product organization by hiring, mentoring, and developing Product Managers while establishing effective operating rhythms, product processes, and execution frameworks.
- Partner closely with engineering leadership to translate ambiguous business opportunities into well-defined product requirements,



maintaining a high standard of product quality and execution.
- Personally lead product discovery, problem framing, PRD creation, solution design, and roadmap prioritization, particularly for complex initiatives involving telemetry, service operations, and evolving business models.
- Build strong relationships with business, engineering, field operations, and executive stakeholders to align product strategy with organizational objectives and drive successful execution.
- Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to ensure strong alignment and seamless delivery.

What Success Requires

- 10–14+ years of Product Management experience with significant expertise in at least two of the following areas:
- Building and scaling new product-led business lines from 0-to-1
- IoT, connected devices, or telemetry-based platforms
- Field service management, maintenance operations, or AMC-style products
- Founder or early founding-team experience with a demonstrated track record of building and scaling new businesses is highly desirable.
- Robust hands-on product management skills with the ability to independently frame ambiguous problems, define product strategy, and write high-quality Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
- Experience designing products that leverage IoT or operational telemetry to create meaningful asset-health insights and performance monitoring capabilities.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with experience optimizing operational metrics such as uptime, SLA adherence, service efficiency, customer acquisition cost (CAC), monetization, and unit economics.
- High credibility with engineering, business, and operations stakeholders, built through sound judgment, execution excellence, and cross-functional leadership.
- A collaborative, low-ego leadership style with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments while building new businesses from the ground up.
- Willingness to travel as needed to collaborate closely with distributed teams and key stakeholders.
