About The Role Nuvix trains engineers for Forward Deployed Engineer roles across DevOps, SRE, Cloud, and Platform Engineering. We are hiring a DevSecOps Trainer to design and deliver our security-focused curriculum — from shifting security left in CI/CD pipelines to runtime hardening of cloud-native systems. You will teach live cohorts, record course modules, and keep the curriculum honest and current with what the industry actually ships.
This is a role for a practitioner who loves teaching as much as building.
Responsibilities Design and deliver live, hands-on DevSecOps modules — pipeline security, SAST/DAST, supply-chain security, secrets management, container and Kubernetes hardening, cloud security posture.
Record polished, production-grade course content for self-paced learners.
Mentor cohort learners, review their labs and capstone projects, and give candid, useful feedback.
Keep curriculum current with evolving tools and real-world threat patterns.
Contribute to assessments, labs, and certification material.
Support learners in interviews and customer-embedding practice for FDE roles.
What we're looking for 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or Cloud Security in production environments.
Deep practical knowledge of CI/CD security, IaC scanning, container/Kubernetes hardening, and at least one major cloud (AWS preferred).
Familiarity with tools such as Trivy, Snyk, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, HashiCorp Vault, and policy-as-code (OPA).
Solid communication skills — able to explain hard concepts simply and hold a room.
Prior teaching, mentoring, or conference-speaking experience is a strong plus.
A practitioner mindset: you have shipped and secured real systems, not just read about them.
