About the Role : We are looking for a sharp, self-driven engineer who lives and breathes infrastructure; someone who can own cloud architecture, keep databases healthy at scale, and also contribute to our AI/ML pipeline. You will be a core member of a lean, high-impact engineering team and will work directly with the CTO on technical decisions that affect millions of users.

Roles And Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain production infrastructure on AWS — ECS Fargate, EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, and related services

Own CI/CD pipelines for reliable, zero-downtime deployments

Monitor infrastructure health using CloudWatch, set up alerting, and conduct root cause analyses on incidents

Manage and optimize AWS costs — including Cost Explorer reviews and resource rightsizing

Handle DNS migrations, SSL certificates, and CDN configurations

Draft and execute quota increase requests, architecture proposals, and runbooks

Administer and optimize MongoDB replica sets and Atlas clusters in production environments

Diagnose and resolve complex database issues — lock contention, connection pool exhaustion, replication lag, and slow queries

Design robust schema migration strategies for dev/prod sync, including migration-based versioning

Work with caching layers such as Redis / Valkey / ElastiCache for performance and distributed state

Implement data backup, retention, and disaster recovery policies

Write clean, maintainable backend code — primarily in Python (FastAPI preferred) — following SOLID and DRY principles

Understand and apply system design patterns: circuit breakers, bulkhead, rate limiting, HPA, PDB

Contribute to API design, data modeling, and service architecture discussions





Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team

Deploy and manage ML model inference on cloud infrastructure, including containerized endpoints

Contribute to fine-tuning workflows for LLMs and Vision Language Models (VLMs)

Integrate AI services (AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or equivalent) into production applications Qualifications 1+ years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments

ECS / Fargate, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch

Cost management and infrastructure security best practices

Strong MongoDB or Postgres expertise

Replica sets, Atlas, query optimization, indexing, aggregation pipelines

Experience debugging production incidents (ReplicaSetNoPrimary, lock contention, etc.)

Solid backend development skills– REST APIs, async patterns, FastAPI or equivalent

Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Github and orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes)

Solid debugging and root cause analysis mindset

Experience fine-tuning LLMs or VLMs (LoRA, QLoRA, Unsloth, Hugging Face, etc.)

Exposure to on-device ML deployment (ONNX, TFLite, CoreML, Android NNAPI)

Experience with Redis / Valkey / ElastiCache for distributed caching
