ServiceNow Developer with robust expertise in CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and CSDM (Common Service Data Model) implementation, customization, and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end experience in building CMDB and aligning it with CSDM standards to drive service visibility, operational maturity, and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

CMDB Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement the CMDB module in ServiceNow from the ground up.

Define and configure CI classes, attributes, and relationships based on business and IT requirements.

Establish and enforce CMDB data quality standards, governance, and best practices.

Integrate ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and external data sources for automated CI population.

Develop workflows, business rules, and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and lifecycle management.





Maintain CMDB health with audits, dashboards, and remediation plans.

Collaborate with ITSM/ITOM teams to ensure CMDB supports incident, change, problem, and asset management.

CSDM Responsibilities

Implement and maintain CSDM framework within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box best practices.

Map business capabilities, services, and applications to the CSDM data model.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define and manage service portfolios, service offerings, and service hierarchies.

Enable Application Services, Business Services, Technical Services, and Service Offerings within CSDM.

Support initiatives around Service Portfolio Management (SPM), ITOM, ITSM, and APM by leveraging CSDM.

Design and maintain service-to-technology relationships that support business outcomes and operational visibility.

Build dashboards and reporting to track adoption and maturity of CSDM implementation.

Provide guidance on CSDM governance, role alignment, and integration strategy across the enterprise.
