Role Description The User Experience Designer will work on-site full time at the Mumbai office, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and efficient digital products and tools for marine operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting user research with internal and external stakeholders, translating insights into user journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. The role involves applying design thinking to solve complex usability challenges, refining visual layouts, and ensuring consistent UX standards across platforms.

The User Experience

Designer will also participate in design reviews, iterate based on feedback, and document UX guidelines to support development and implementation. Close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts is expected to align designs with business goals and user needs.

Qualifications & Core Competencies A degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Human–Computer Interaction, Interaction Design,



Visual Communication, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience supported by a strong portfolio will also be considered.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, Design Thinking, user-centred design, information architecture, interaction design, and workflow optimisation.

Ability to conduct user and market research, including interviews, observations, competitor analysis, persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing.

Proven ability to convert research findings and complex requirements into practical design solutions, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes.

Strong visual and graphic design capabilities, including layout, typography, colour theory, iconography, branding, presentation design, and visual hierarchy.

Ability to create clean, contemporary, uncluttered, intuitive, and visually consistent designs while maintaining brand identity and usability.

Experience in developing original illustrations, icons, infographics, digital assets, marketing creatives, social-media graphics, posters, brochures, and product visuals.

Proficiency in tools such as Figma, FigJam, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketch, Adobe XD, Canva, or other relevant design and prototyping platforms.





Ability to develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, style guides, reusable templates, and consistent UI standards across multiple products.

Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, mobile-first design, web and application interfaces, and cross-platform design requirements.

Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with software developers.

Strong research, analytical, creative problem-solving, and design-validation abilities, with attention to both user needs and business objectives.

Ability to present design concepts clearly, explain the reasoning behind design decisions, receive feedback positively, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Product design experience, freelance projects, live portfolio work, or a relevant internship will be considered an added advantage.

Experience in Aerospace, Gaming, Advertisement, industrial, technical, training, AR/VR/MR/XR , Edutech, SaaS, or B2B software environments will be advantageous but is not mandatory.

Candidates must submit a portfolio demonstrating UI/UX projects, prototypes, research processes, graphic-design work, illustrations, and finished digital products. Location
