About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to join our Data Center Innovation team within Qualcomm’s Engineering Group. This role focuses on advancing next-generation architectures for the Dragonfly platform, which is Qualcomm’s rack-scale Agentic AI platform designed to redefine compute efficiency and scalability for the AI era.

As a key contributor, you will work on the development and verification of high-speed serial IO protocols, manage IP dependencies, and contribute to the design convergence cycle from architecture to implementation. Your expertise will help shape the future of AI hardware solutions, enabling Qualcomm to stay at the forefront of technological innovation in data center infrastructure.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering, complemented by relevant industry experience.



A bachelor’s or master’s degree with 2 to 5 years of proven experience in SoC development and full-chip design is required.

Candidates with a PhD in related fields are also encouraged to apply. Essential skills include a comprehensive understanding of bus protocols such as AHB, AXI, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, and experience with memory controllers and microprocessors is advantageous. Proficiency in review and verification of high-level test plans and coverage metrics is essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and verify high-speed serial IO protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and performance benchmarks.
- Manage IP dependencies and plan front-end design tasks to streamline project workflows and meet development milestones.
- Implement clock rate compensation FIFO, gearbox designs for data width adaptation, and bypass mechanisms on controllers to optimize data flow.
- Contribute to the full chip design cycle, including architecture, micro-architecture, verification, synthesis, and timing closure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design specifications, review progress, and troubleshoot issues during development phases.
- Participate in design convergence activities, ensuring that all design components meet performance, power, and area targets.




- Support the verification process by reviewing test plans, coverage metrics, and simulation results to validate design functionality.
- Maintain documentation of design processes, decisions, and revisions to ensure clarity and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
