A leading automotive and mobility organization is looking for an experienced Cost Engineering leader to drive product cost competitiveness, value engineering initiatives, and strategic cost optimization across critical vehicle systems.

Role & responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end product cost management for complex automotive commodities and assemblies
- Drive target costing, should-costing, benchmarking, and value engineering initiatives
- Deliver business case commitments through proactive cost optimization programs
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, and Supplier teams
- Develop cost models, cost databases, and digital costing frameworks
- Lead cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives across product lifecycle
- Support new technology costing and future mobility programs




- Build and mentor a high-performing team of cost engineering professionals

Preferred candidate profile:

- 16 to 20 years of experience in Automotive Product Costing, Value Engineering, Cost Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, or Commercial Engineering
- Solid exposure to powertrain, transmission, axle, castings, forgings, machining, or similar manufacturing-intensive commodities
- Proven experience in target costing, should-costing, benchmarking, and business case development
- Strong commercial acumen with supplier cost analysis and negotiations
- Experience managing large cross-functional teams

Preferred Background: Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, Commercial Vehicles, Industrial Manufacturing.
