Full Stack Technical Lead

About the Role:

We're looking for a Full Stack Technical Lead who can independently own and drive the full technology stack of our platform. You'll lead architecture decisions, build and mentor a small engineering team, and be the single point of accountability for delivery across multiple product verticals.

This is not a managerial role that sits in meetings - you'll be hands-on with code daily while setting technical direction.

What You'll Own:

- End-to-end technical ownership of the platform - from backend services to user-facing APIs
- Architecture and delivery of core product modules including order management, real-time data processing, payment integrations, and user management systems
- Multi-tenant deployment pipeline - enabling partners to launch customized platform instances with isolated configurations, fee structures, and branding
- Performance and reliability of systems handling real-time data processing, high-throughput transactions, and concurrent user operations
- Integration with external data providers, third-party APIs, and payment gateways
- Security posture - API authentication, rate limiting, data protection, and vulnerability remediation
- Database design and optimization for high-throughput transactional workloads (PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc)
- Real-time infrastructure - WebSocket feeds, Redis pub/sub, event-driven architectures
- CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and production incident response
- Code review standards, technical documentation, and engineering best practices

What We're Looking For:

- 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a lead/architect role
- Deep experience building high-scale, transaction-heavy platforms - fintech,



trading, payments, or similar domains
- Strong proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript (our primary stack), Go or Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues
- Experience with real-time systems - WebSockets, low-latency data pipelines, and high-concurrency architectures
- Experience with white-label or multi-tenant SaaS architectures - tenant isolation, configuration management, and deployment strategies
- Hands-on with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) - EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront, and containerized deployments
- Robust grasp of security practices - JWT authentication, API security, DDoS mitigation, and secure key management
- Experience with monitoring and observability - Sentry, Grafana, application logging, and alerting
- Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and quality, and communicate those decisions clearly
- Experience leading and mentoring a team of 3-5 engineers

Nice to Have:

- Experience with financial/trading systems - matching engines, margin systems, settlement flows
- Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals - wallet management, on-chain/off-chain transactions
- Experience integrating third-party KYC/AML providers (Sumsub, Jumio, etc.)
- Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with TimescaleDB or other time-series databases for high-frequency data
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing
