Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Database & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain our data infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will work closely with data, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to ensure high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems leveraging AWS, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and modern data pipeline tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and tune AWS RDS instances, including configuration, parameter groups, storage, and read replicas.
- Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks in cloud-to-cloud and on-premises-to-cloud PostgreSQL migrations.
- Manage and optimize shared memory settings, DMS replication tasks, and database configuration parameters.
- Design and maintain data pipelines using Apache Kafka, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena.
- Lead or support on-premises to cloud migration projects,



ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Implement DevOps practices to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring (IaC, CI/CD).
- Investigate and resolve database partitioning issues and DBA-level configuration problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define SLAs, capacity plans, and disaster recovery strategies.

Experience Required

- 3–6 years of experience in database administration or data engineering roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS RDS configuration, parameter tuning, and performance optimization across PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS DMS for database migrations (on-prem to cloud or cloud-to-cloud).
- Working knowledge of Kafka architecture, broker configuration, and consumer/producer patterns. Nice to Have • AWS Certified Database Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.

Exposure to dbt, Apache Spark, or other up-to-date data transformation tools.
