About the Role

Data Eminence is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our remote engineering team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing databases that power business-critical applications. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, and system administrators to ensure database performance, security, reliability, and availability while supporting data-driven solutions across multiple projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Basic understanding of SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB

Familiarity with database design, normalization, and indexing concepts

Knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures

Understanding of database security and user access management

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
