We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Data Scientist - AI / ML Engineer to support our team on a 1-month project involving the development, testing, analysis, and implementation of AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering fundamentals, practical experience building ML models, and the ability to independently take ownership of technical tasks from development through deployment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and optimize machine learning and AI models based on project requirements.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
- Write clean, scalable, efficient, and well-documented Python code.
- Work with datasets for data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical analysis.
- Develop and experiment with machine learning algorithms across areas such as regression, classification, NLP, and computer vision.
- Evaluate model performance and implement appropriate techniques for model tuning and optimization.




- Integrate AI/ML models into software applications and existing technology workflows.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new AI/ML and data science approaches and technologies.
- Collaborate with developers, data teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing AI/ML and data science implementations where required.
- Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, documentation, and code quality.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience writing production-quality code.
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Strong experience working with data using tools such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of APIs, software development workflows, and integrating ML models into applications.
- Experience with Git/version control and basic software engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage project deliverables, and meet deadlines within a short project timeline.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
