About The Role We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in healthcare data to join our dynamic team at Persistent Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MS SQL, healthcare data modeling, integration, and statistical analysis. This role involves working with large-scale healthcare datasets, including claims, provider information, utilization, and quality metrics, primarily within cloud environments.

You will play a crucial role in building scalable and efficient data infrastructure, implementing system health monitoring, and developing continuous integration pipelines. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights, support analytics initiatives related to value-based care, population health, and operational efficiency, and guide the team in best practices for data management and reporting.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in US healthcare analytics, including working with benefits, claims, and eligibility data, is essential. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing healthcare datasets is required, along with familiarity with Snowflake, MySQL, and modern data warehousing concepts.





Experience in creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities As a Data Analyst in Healthcare at Persistent Systems, your responsibilities will include: Performing detailed healthcare data analysis and reporting by working with large datasets such as claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data to derive insights and support decision-making processes.

Writing, optimizing, and validating complex SQL queries to extract relevant healthcare data from relational databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Conducting data validation, reconciliation, and transformation activities to support regulatory compliance and business reporting needs.

Supporting healthcare data modeling and integration efforts by working with Snowflake, MySQL, and related platforms to develop data marts, analytics layers, and support infrastructure.

Collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure the reliable ingestion and integration of data from various source systems, including claims processing, provider systems, and eligibility feeds.

Assisting in analytics initiatives aimed at improving value-based care, population health management, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.

Creating process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io to document healthcare data workflows.

Documenting healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies to standardize processes and ensure clarity across teams.





Partnering with stakeholders from Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Presenting findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
