Role & responsibilities (MRO - Maintenance, Repairs & Operations)

- Inventory Mastery: Manage the critical spares inventory (bearings, hydraulic seals, slitting knives, spacers, heavy-duty motors) specifically needed to keep the plant running.
- Downtime Prevention: Establish a "critical spares" protocol to ensure the slitting/shearing lines never sit idle waiting for a 50-cent component.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Source high-quality engineering components, negotiate lead times, and manage specialized vendors (e.g., blade sharpening services).
- Budget & Data Tracking: Track MRO spend, audit stock levels, and work closely with the Maintenance Head to predict part failures based on PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: 3+ years in industrial store management or procurement within a heavy manufacturing/metal processing workplace.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with mechanical and electrical terminology (gearboxes, pneumatic valves, PLCs). Must speak the same language as engineers.
- Skills: Proficiency in inventory software (Tally, ERP, MS Office) and excellent negotiation skills.
