Why we need you: You’ll play a key role in ensuring our culinary training services inspire and empower crew members to achieve excellence by sharing your culinary expertise with galley crews through distance coaching, consultations, and onboard visits in nearby areas. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Assisting and supporting the Culinary Training Supervisor.
Providing e-learning coaching to crew members using specified training materials.
Coaching, assessing, and supporting the competence development of crew members onboard vessels.
Reporting progress, issues, or concerns to the Culinary Training Supervisor and Fleet Supervisor.
Updating and maintaining training records for courses and participants.
Following up with vessels on overdue training assessments and training requirements.
Conducting physical onboard visits to vessels in nearby areas, providing consultancy and on-the-job culinary training to the galley crew when required.
Participating in in-house training programs and adhering to reporting protocols.
Performing other duties as assigned to support training initiatives.
You need these qualifications:
Graduate of a Culinary College or Hotel Management College.
Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Chef.
Highly skilled in MS Office and general computer literacy.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent command of Indian language (written and verbal).
Willingness to travel.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Passion for the maritime industry.
It would be nice if:
You have prior experience conducting culinary training and consultancy, or mentoring kitchen staff.
You have prior experience as a Chief Cook onboard merchant vessels.
You are familiar with maritime catering standards and practices.
