Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Crane Service and Installation Engineer role based in Chennai. The role involves installing new crane systems and hoists at customer facilities, ensuring correct setup, alignment, and commissioning according to technical specifications and safety standards. The engineer will perform routine and corrective maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting cranes and hoists, testing system performance, managing electrical wiring and controls, and documenting all service activities accurately. The engineer will interact with customers to understand technical requirements, provide in office support,



and collaborate with internal teams to plan installation schedules, obtain necessary parts, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

Strong equipment installation skills, including hands-on experience with cranes, hoists, and related industrial lifting systems.

Applicable electrical engineering knowledge with practical experience in electrical wiring, control panels, and safety standards.

Solid mechanical engineering understanding, including mechanical assemblies, alignment, load handling, and system troubleshooting.

Maintenance skills covering preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for industrial equipment.

Diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Awareness of industrial safety practices and willingness to follow company and site safety protocols.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers, technicians, and internal teams.

Prior experience in crane service, material handling equipment, or heavy industrial machinery is an advantage.

Willingness to travel to customer sites within and around Chennai as required.
