We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Hospital Counselor to support patients and their families throughout their treatment journey. The counselor will provide emotional guidance, explain treatment plans, address concerns, and ensure a smooth patient experience within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and healthcare services.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during consultations and treatment.
- Explain medical processes, therapies, and wellness programs in easy, understandable language.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and follow-ups.
- Assist in resolving patient queries, concerns, and complaints.
- Guide patients regarding lifestyle changes, diet plans, and wellness programs as advised by medical professionals.
- Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction and engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred).
- Prior experience in hospital/healthcare counseling is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and emotionally intelligent.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
