Position Details Designation: Manager – Corporate Payroll

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Corporate Payroll to lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations across our corporate and manufacturing workforce. The role requires expertise in payroll processing, statutory compliance, labor law regulations, and payroll governance while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely salary disbursement.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing payroll for both white-collar and blue-collar employees, contract manpower, and shift-based operations within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for corporate.
- Ensure accurate processing of salaries,



incentives, overtime, shift allowances, production incentives, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
- Validate attendance inputs including biometric records, leave, shifts, overtime, and holiday data.
- Process Full & Final Settlements (F&F;), gratuity, leave encashment, bonuses, and other employee payouts.
- Ensure payroll timelines are met with complete accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement, payroll accounting, and reconciliation.

Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations including:
- Provident Fund (PF)
- Employee State Insurance (ESIC)
- Professional Tax (PT)
- Income Tax (TDS)
- Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)
- Payment of Bonus Act
- Payment of Gratuity Act
- Factories Act
- Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act (CLRA)
- Minimum Wages Act
- Shops & Establishment Act (where applicable)
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, challans, and maintenance of statutory registers.
- Coordinate payroll-related statutory audits and labor inspections.
- Work closely with external consultants and government authorities for compliance matters.

Plant & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate with Production, Time Office, Security, Plant HR, and Operations teams for attendance reconciliation.
- Resolve employee payroll queries, discrepancies,



and grievance cases within defined timelines.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and departmental stakeholders to ensure payroll data accuracy.

Payroll Governance & Process Excellence

- Ensure payroll SOPs, controls, and audit mechanisms are consistently followed.
- Identify opportunities to automate payroll processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive payroll compliance, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of employee payroll data.

Reporting & Analytics

- Prepare monthly payroll MIS and dashboards covering:
- Headcount
- Payroll cost
- Overtime analysis
- Attendance trends
- Absenteeism
- Contract manpower cost
- Salary variance reports
- Statutory compliance status
- Generate management reports and workforce cost analytics for HR and business leadership.
- Support budgeting, manpower planning, and annual compensation exercises with payroll insights.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in HR or Finance will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 6–10 years of progressive payroll experience.
- Exposure to multi-location payroll operations will be preferred.

Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with HRMS and Payroll systems such as Keka, SAP, Spine, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
- Power Query (preferred)
- Data reconciliation
- Advanced formulas and reporting
- Working knowledge of payroll audits and statutory documentation.
