Role Description The Content & Social Media Marketer will plan, create, and manage content across VOSD’s digital channels to raise awareness, drive engagement, and support fundraising and adoption initiatives. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bengaluru and involves developing social media calendars, writing posts, creating basic visual content, and coordinating with internal teams to highlight rescue stories, medical care, and sanctuary life. The role includes monitoring social media platforms, responding to community interactions, optimizing content for reach and engagement, and tracking performance metrics.

The Content & Social Media Marketer will also support campaigns, newsletters, and website updates, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with VOSD’s mission and brand voice.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to manage and grow VOSD’s presence across platforms.

- Candidates should possess skills in Content Strategy and Communication to plan narratives, craft clear messaging, and tailor content to different audiences.

- Candidates should possess skills in Digital Marketing to support campaigns, measure performance, and use data to improve outreach and engagement.

- Strong writing skills in English, with the ability to create compelling stories about rescue, rehabilitation, and animal welfare.

- Ability to use social media and basic design tools (e.g., Canva, image/video editors) to produce engaging posts and visuals.

- Organized,



detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Genuine interest in animal welfare and comfort working around dogs at the sanctuary; prior non-profit or cause-based marketing experience is an advantage.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
