For Yadom

Life (Yadom Life - Open. Inhale. Reset.), our personal care brand, we are looking for a senior cosmetic chemist to own the technical side of our product development on a retainer basis, until we build an in-house team.

About the role -

Yadom Life is launching Reset, a body care range spanning magnesium recovery, de-tan and bacne care. Three SKUs are currently in development, with manufacturing handled through a contract manufacturer.

You will be the person who decides whether what comes out of the factory is good enough to carry our name.

This is a flexible engagement. Most of the work can be done remotely, with occasional visits to our Noida office and to the manufacturing site as required. Responsibilities

Review and challenge formulations received from our contract manufacturer before approval

Guide formulation direction for new products, including active selection, pH strategy and stability considerations

Design and run the testing programme covering stability, microbiology, assay and patch testing

Brief and manage external labs and CROs, and interpret results





Confirm ingredient limits under the Cosmetics Rules 2020 and approve the INCI list ahead of label printing

Approve marketing claims against available substantiation

Review batch COAs and act as signatory for batch release Requirements

B.Pharm, M.Sc Chemistry, or Cosmetic Technology. 5+ years in personal care formulation

Experience at a contract manufacturer, or with a brand that outsources manufacturing, is a robust advantage

Track record of taking products from brief to shelf, not bench trials alone

Working knowledge of surfactant systems, AHA/BHA actives, syndet bars and rinse-off formats

Familiarity with Indian cosmetic regulation and BIS requirements

Able to explain technical decisions in plain language to a founder, and hold a position with the factory Engagement -

Retainer, 12-month term, renewable. Fee based on experience. Non-exclusive, though we ask for no concurrent engagement with a competing body care brand. Suits an independent consultant, or a senior formulator with capacity outside their primary role.
