Computer Engineering — AI Data Trainer About The Role We're looking for computer engineering experts to help train and improve the next generation of AI models. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and your deep technical knowledge is exactly what's needed to make these systems smarter, more accurate, and more reliable. You'll stress-test advanced language models on complex hardware and systems topics, expose their failure modes, and help build the ground-truth solutions that shape how AI reasons about computer engineering.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced computer engineering scenarios spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, hardware-software co-design, embedded systems, and more
Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions including assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams that serve as benchmarks for AI training
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated code (C/C++, Verilog, VHDL), logic gate designs, and OS kernel implementations for technical accuracy, efficiency, and standards compliance
Improve AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI-generated reasoning — such as race conditions, memory leaks,
or timing constraint violations — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance Who You Are Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
Able to communicate complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic clearly in writing
Highly detail-oriented — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock cycles, and technical documentation
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar platforms
Familiarity with IoT, networking, distributed systems, or hardware security domains Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and institutions
Fully remote and adaptable — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with experts worldwide
Gain rare, firsthand exposure to how advanced LLMs are built and trained
