Maruti Suzuki India Limited, BU Hansalpur plant is a subsidiary of Maruti Suzuki India Limited to produce automobiles from Gujarat, was established in March 2014, aiming to secure production ability in preparation for the automobile market growth in India, as well as for expansion of exports from India. In MSIL – BU Hansalpur, Plant A started operating from February 2017, subsequently Plant B, Powertrain Plant started in January 2019. In October 2020, MSIL-BU Hansalpur became the fastest production site of Maruti Suzuki to achieve accumulated automobile production of 1 million units. MSIL – Hansalpur is also home of Maruti Suzuki’s prestigious e-Vitara, the first EV of Maruti Suzuki in world. The plant proudly exported the e-Vitara to more than 165 countries so far. Today, Maruti Suzuki has its eyes set firmly on the possibilities of tomorrow.
About the Role The Plant Compliance Manager will be responsible to oversee all the Compliance requirement of the Company’s Business Unit located at Hansalpur, Ahmedabad (near Becharaji). The candidate will work closely with the Plant Leadership Team and will report directly to the BU-Head.
This role is fully responsible for designing, executing, and monitoring compliance strategies across all factory operations in consultation with the Central Compliance Team. The successful candidate shall ensure that the Unit minimizes legal, environmental, and financial risks.
The Plant Compliance
Manager will act as the Plant’s subject matter expert on all regulatory frameworks, labor standards, and internal corporate governance. Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Plant Governance
Leadership Advisory: Advise the Plant Head and Departmental Managers on the regulatory impact of proposed operational changes, capacity expansions, or new equipment installations.
Policy Adaptation: Convert high-level corporate ethics and compliance mandates into Standard Policy.
Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (COBCE): Observe, educate and implement company’s COBCE within Business Unit (BU).
Training: Render Training on POSH and COBCE to all Blue Collar as well as White Collar employees throughout the year.
Compliance Management Tool: To manage, operate and maintain Compliance Management Tool from BU perspective in consultation with Central Compliance Team. Arrange user training as and when require. Handle timely redressal of user grievances. Ensure timely compliance closure. Ensure accurate reporting of compliance status to the Management.
Regulatory & Permit Management
Licensing: Coordinating with Departments to secure, track, and renew all necessary operating licenses, government permits, regulatory approvals, certifications etc. from time to time.
Auditing & Corrective Action (CAPA)
Internal Audits: Schedule and lead comprehensive internal compliance reviews across Business Units.
Issue Resolution: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any compliance failures and oversee the immediate deployment of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Labor & Ethics: Audit time-logging, shift management, and workforce conditions alongside HR to guarantee compliance with regional labour laws and fair factory practices.
Culture, Training, & Investigations
Workforce Training: Develop and execute mandatory compliance, ethics onboarding programs for all staff of Business Unit. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Law and Certified Compliance & Ethics Qualified (CCEP) with a work experience of at least 10 years in direct compliance management inside a manufacturing plant environment.
Experience in the Automotive Industry would be an added advantage.

Communication: Strong verbal and written skills required to negotiate with government agencies and explain complex legal expectations to floor operators.
Analytical Problem Solving: Sharp eye for data anomalies, process gaps, and potential regulatory liabilities.
