Role Description The CMM role is a full-time, on-site position based at Shaily Engineering Plastics Limited in Vadodara. The role involves operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections of plastic components and tooling.
Day-to-day tasks include interpreting engineering drawings and 3D models, setting up inspection routines, measuring parts against specifications, and documenting results in inspection reports. The CMM professional collaborates closely with quality assurance, production, and engineering teams to resolve dimensional issues,
support root cause analysis, and maintain quality standards.
Responsibilities also include maintaining CMM equipment, following safety and quality procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the inspection and measurement process.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in CMM operation, CMM programming, and dimensional inspection.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and use of precision measuring instruments.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in quality control practices, documentation of inspection reports, and adherence to ISO or similar quality standards.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience in plastic component manufacturing, tooling, or injection molding environments is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Vadodara, follow safety protocols, and manage tasks with attention to detail is required.
