About The Role The Google Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect at HCLTech plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for enterprise clients across India. This position involves leading solution design, technical consulting, and pre-sales activities to support cloud migration, modernization, and AI-driven automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with global sales teams, technical architects, and partners to develop compelling solutions tailored to client needs within industries such as banking, retail, healthcare, and telecommunications. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies, including data engineering, AI/ML, and industry-specific use cases, enabling organizations to unlock new levels of operational efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, typically holding a B.E./B.Tech degree. They should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of overall IT experience, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).





Technical proficiency in GCP services such as Compute, Storage, and Networking is essential, along with expertise in Data Engineering tools like BigQuery and Looker. A foundational understanding of AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, as well as familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), is preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate experience working with global system integrator partners, with a proven track record of collaborating on joint solutions and go-to-market strategies.

Soft skills such as executive presence, effective communication, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value are crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with global sales teams and Google Cloud Architects to respond to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Develop return on investment (ROI) models and hyperscale funding strategies to demonstrate TCO benefits of Google Cloud adoption.
- Design industry-specific use cases for IT managed services, focusing on cloud adoption, modernization, and automation.
- Lead technical workshops and create reference architectures for data center migration and modernization projects to Google Cloud.
- Architect Google Cloud-native applications and data engineering solutions utilizing services such as BigQuery, Looker, and Vertex AI.
- Innovate and design AI solutions,



including Gemini Enterprise Agentic AI and Generative AI (GenAI), to accelerate enterprise IT managed services and cloud operations.
- Work closely with Google GSI partners to build joint solutions, scale go-to-market initiatives, and expand solution reach.
- Develop a deep understanding of industry-specific value stream use cases within domains such as BFSI, RCPG, Telecom, Healthcare, and Manufacturing.
