Company Description Make My House (MMH) is a collaborative team of architects, civil engineers, interior designers, and software professionals who are passionate about turning ideas into well-designed homes. The company offers a large, free-to-browse collection of house plans and elevations to help individuals explore and refine their home-building concepts. Once a plan is selected, MMH provides complete drawing sets that can be used directly with contractors, reducing the need to hire separate design professionals.

MMH also creates fully customized house plans at a comparatively lower cost and can work alongside external architects to give clients multiple design options. The focus is on helping people plan wisely for one of the most significant projects in their lives by offering flexible, accessible design solutions.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Indore.

The Civil

Engineer will collaborate with architects, designers, and project stakeholders to translate house plans into structurally sound and compliant designs. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing structural drawings, performing load calculations, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety standards, and coordinating with contractors during execution.



The role involves site visits to monitor construction quality, verify alignment with approved drawings, and resolve technical issues in real time.

The Civil

Engineer will also contribute to cost estimation, material selection, and continuous improvement of MMH’s design and construction processes.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid skills in structural analysis, load calculations, and foundation design.

Candidates should possess proficiency in civil engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, ETABS or similar) and technical drawing preparation.

Candidates should possess knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards relevant to residential projects.

Candidates should possess abilities in project coordination, site supervision, and quality control during construction.

Candidates should possess effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for working with cross-functional design and construction teams.

Beneficial qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, prior experience in residential building projects, familiarity with cost estimation, and understanding of sustainable construction practices.
