Role Description The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will provide clinical leadership and oversight for geriatric care services at KITES Senior Care. This part-time, in office role is based in Kochi and involves guiding medical protocols, supervising clinical teams, and ensuring adherence to best practices in geriatric medicine. The CMO will review and refine care pathways, participate in case discussions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to optimize outcomes for older adults in home care, senior living, and Assisted Care Centers.
Day-to-day responsibilities include clinical governance, quality and safety monitoring, utilization management,
and coordination with operational leadership to align medical strategy with organizational goals. The CMO will also engage in strategic planning, contribute to managed care initiatives, and support medical affairs activities, including training, stakeholder communication, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical expertise in Medicine, with a focus on geriatrics or internal medicine, and demonstrated experience caring for older adults.
- Proficiency in Utilization Management and Managed Care to ensure appropriate, cost-effective, and high-quality clinical services.
- Experience in Medical Affairs, including clinical governance, protocol development, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability in Strategic Planning to shape and implement medical strategy, quality initiatives, and long-term service development.
- Valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and relevant postgraduate qualification; current medical licensure in India.
- Prior leadership experience in a clinical or healthcare management role, preferably in geriatric care or long-term care settings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Commitment to ethical, person-centered care and familiarity with elder care regulations and quality standards.
