Role Description The Career Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhubaneswar. The counselor will provide guidance to students and professionals on academic and career pathways, helping them explore options, set realistic goals, and create actionable development plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, administering and interpreting career assessment tools, and facilitating workshops on employability skills, interview preparation, and career readiness.





The role involves collaborating with training teams and institutional partners to align counseling with existing programs, maintaining accurate records and progress reports, and contributing to the design of career development initiatives. The counselor will also communicate regularly with stakeholders such as faculty, parents, and organizational partners to support holistic development of participants.

Qualifications

Ability to provide comprehensive guidance in Career Counseling and Student Counseling for diverse academic and skilled backgrounds.

Competence in Career Development and Career Management, including creating individualized development plans and long-term growth strategies.

Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and facilitation of group sessions.

Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.

Prior experience in academic advising, career services, training, or similar roles, preferably within educational institutions or training organizations.

Ability to work with diverse age groups and cultural backgrounds with a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory approach.

Robust organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications and online research.

Comfort with public speaking, workshop facilitation, and coordinating with institutional and corporate stakeholders.
