The hospital provides complex interventions such as heart and heart-lung transplantation, cardiac resynchronization therapy, catheter-based ablation for arrhythmia, and enhanced external counter pulsation.

A dedicated Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Clinic supports adults requiring lifelong cardiac care.

Lifeline is accredited by NABH for quality standards in healthcare delivery. The organization also conducts in-house cardiac research, including tissue-engineered valves and substitutes designed for biocompatibility and cost-effectiveness.

Role Description The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiac care to adult and, as applicable, pediatric patients, including clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms and stress tests, planning and performing appropriate interventional or non-interventional procedures in collaboration with the multidisciplinary cardiac team. The role involves participating in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, emergency cardiac care,



and continuity of care for individuals with complex or congenital heart disease. The Cardiologist will contribute to care pathways aligned with hospital protocols, quality standards, and evidence-based guidelines, and may participate in clinical research or teaching activities as required.

This is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Medicine, with recognized medical degree and completion of relevant residency and cardiology fellowship or equivalent training.

Clinical expertise in Cardiology, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.

Experience or training in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular procedures, including catheter-based diagnostics and therapies, is highly beneficial.

Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine or Nuclear Cardiology techniques for advanced cardiac imaging and functional assessment is an advantage.

Valid medical license and appropriate specialty registration as per regulatory requirements.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, with strong communication and decision-making skills.

Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Prior experience in tertiary cardiac centers, cardiac research, or teaching is beneficial.
