Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and highly skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team in the jewellery industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating design concepts into detailed 3D models for jewellery pieces, ensuring that designs are both aesthetically pleasing and technically feasible for production. The CAD Designer will collaborate closely with our design team and manufacturers to bring innovative jewellery designs to life, using state-of-the-art CAD software and prototyping techniques.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modelling & Design: Create detailed and accurate 3D CAD models of jewellery pieces, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, using CAD software (Rhino, Matrix).

Design Development: Work closely with the creative design team to bring initial sketches, ideas, or concepts to life in a digital format, ensuring that designs meet the company’s aesthetic and technical requirements.

Prototyping & Rendering: Produce 3D renderings of jewellery designs for client presentations, marketing, or visual reference. Assist in prototyping and refining designs based on feedback from clients or manufacturing teams.

Technical Specifications: Prepare technical drawings,



assembly instructions, and production specifications to ensure the feasibility and precision of designs. Provide support to the production team with design modifications or adjustments as needed.

Collaboration with Manufacturing: Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are production-friendly, considering material constraints, stone setting, casting, and other factors that impact production.

Quality Control: Ensure that CAD designs meet industry standards for quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness, while remaining cutting-edge and aligned with the brand's design philosophy.

Research & Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with jewellery design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative elements into design work and keep the brand competitive in the market.

Key Skills: · Software Proficiency: Rhino, Matrix, · Understanding of Diamond-studded jewellery aesthetics and functional design · Metal properties (gold, platinum) and limitations in manufacturing · Types of stone settings and their impact on durability/design Preferred Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Jewellery Design, CAD Designing, or a related field Strong portfolio of finished CAD designs (diamond jewellery) Understanding of CAM processes and 3D printing workflow is a plus · Personal Attributes:

Attention to detail and precision Creative yet practical approach Team player with strong communication skills Ability to work under tight timelines and multiple briefs
