Role Description The Buyer – Grocery Retail is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for sourcing and purchasing grocery products that align with Purity Prayag’s organic and natural food values. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and placing purchase orders to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability. The role involves analyzing sales trends, monitoring inventory turnover,



and coordinating with store operations to maintain an efficient and appealing product assortment.

The Buyer collaborates with internal teams to support promotions, manage vendor relationships, and ensure quality and compliance with brand standards. This position plays a key role in balancing consumer needs, farmer partnerships, and sustainable sourcing practices.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess solid Retail Buying and Purchasing skills to manage product selection, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.

Candidates should possess solid Inventory Management and Analytical Skills to track stock levels, forecast demand, and interpret sales data.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and store teams.

Experience in grocery retail, FMCG, or food products, preferably with organic or natural brands, is beneficial.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.

Strong attention to detail, proficiency with spreadsheets or retail systems, and the ability to make data-informed decisions are advantageous.

Commitment to ethical sourcing, fair trade principles, and sustainable agriculture is a plus.
