Position : Business Analyst

Location : Gurgaon

Overview :

We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Business Analyst to join the Demand team at zingbus. You will work at the intersection of data, business strategy, and product - analysing demand patterns, pricing signals, and operational metrics to drive decisions that directly impact revenue and customer experience.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who is intellectually curious, moves rapid, and is excited about solving hard problems at scale. If you geek out over data pipelines, ML models, and business insights in the same breath - this role is for you.

What you will do :

- Gather and manage business requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, etc.)
- Act as a central point of contact/spokesperson for operators
- Ensure adherence to documentation and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with payment operators and manage related processes
- Build, Streamline, and Manage Processes for different day to day tasks
- Network with Industry Partners and collaborate on multiple items to ensure brand consistency and solve assets pipeline for Regional teams
- Create knowledge repository documents and decks for internal & external stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to develop dashboards and tools for Internal and External stakeholders
- Collaborate with Growth, Operations, and Revenue teams for Business side Improvement and Expansion projects

Requirements :

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in Python : Comfortable writing scripts for data wrangling, analysis, and automation.
- Strong SQL skills : Ability to write complex queries across relational databases.




- Working knowledge of Power BI and Google Sheets for dashboarding and reporting.
- Familiarity with Git : Comfortable with branches, commits, pull requests, and version control workflows.
- Awareness of ML concepts : Regression, classification, clustering; willingness to apply them in business contexts.

Business & Analytical Skills :

- Strong business acumen : Ability to connect data findings to business outcomes and frame insights for decision-making.
- Clear and structured communication skills : Able to present complex analysis simply to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and deriving structure from messy real-world data.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and high ownership.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with AI-assisted workflows - using tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar to accelerate analysis and code generation.
- Exposure to time-series analysis, demand forecasting, or pricing models.
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced data environment.
- Familiarity with transportation, mobility, or e-commerce domains.
- Internship or project experience involving data analysis, business analysis, or related work is a strong plus.
